News of the Sahrawi students in Agadir

The five Sahrawi students arrested recently in the City University of Agadir and imprisoned in the local prison of Inezgane, appeared, today, Thursday May 28, 2007, before the court of first authority of Agadir. The latter decided to defer the lawsuit to May 30, 2007.

We point out that these students had been arrested on Thursday May 3, 2007, imprisoned in the local prison of Inezgane, on Friday May 4, 2007, suffer from serious wounds following the confrontations which occurred at University IBNO ZOHR in Agadir, and carry out their unlimited hunger strike since May 8, 2007. These students are charged by the court for Agression, Wound and Incitation.

We also point out that this lawsuit to which assisted a majority of the Sahrawi students, preceded under a strong presence of various bodies of Moroccan security. Several other Sahrawi citizens were prohibited to enter inside the court.
