El-Ayoune – Western Sahara
Sunday July 15, 2007

The Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Yahdih TARROUZI, was released, yesterday Saturday July 14, 2007, after having ended a 10 months judgment in the black prison of El-Ayoune. Mr. TARROUZI had been arrested on September 14, 2006, in Tan Tan (south Morocco) and had been condemned, in first authority, to one year of prison on March 20, 2006, before reducing this sentence in call to 10 months on June 26, 2007.

In addition, the examining magistrate ordered the imprisonment of the two young Sahrwis, Mr. Nafaai SAH and Mr. Abdallah ELBOUSSATI in the black prison. Mr. Nafaai, arrested on July 8, 2007, with his cousin, Mr. Hamdi SAH, and Mr. Abdallah ELBOUSSATI who was arrested on July 9, 2007, had been held in an unknown place, according to their families, where they would have undergone horrible forms of torture before their imprisonment in the black prison. Mr. Hamdi SAH, who is released, also confirmed this information.

We point out that the Sahrawi students, imprisoned in the local prison of Sale (Morocco), are still carrying out their unlimited hunger strike whereas the penitentiary direction continues to be unaware of their claims while their health becomes increasingly critical.

In this respect, we recall that the Sahrawi students, imprisoned in the local prison of Marrakech (Morocco), will appear, Monday July 16, 2007, before the Court of Appeal. These students had been condemned, in first authority, as follows:
Miss. Sultana KHAYA (picture), studies in the American arts centre
