The Moroccan repressive forces continue their intimidation against the Sahrawi citizens and activists. The Moroccan repressive forces violated the house of Mr. Hassanna DOUIHI yesterday Tuesday September 4, 2007 (under pretext that they were in search of Mr. Ennaama ASFARI), who terrified his children and his wife, who has just had a third child. Moreover, the Moroccan repressive forces also detained a friend of the family DOUIHI for few hours in the judicial police centre before being released.
We recall that Mr. Hassanna DOUIHI had been detained on May 20 and on August 22, 2007, and he confirms to have been tortured and maltreated in the judicial police centre by different security agents and persons in charge. Mr. Hassanna, who was obliged to spend the whole night upright, also affirms that the policemen had bandaged his eyes during his detention. He also confirms that the reasons of his detention were his activism, his relations with the Sahrawi human rights defenders and also the foreigners who visit the territory. Mr. Hassanna was also charged to call to boycott the legislative election that Morocco organizes next on September 2007.
Far from this, ASVDH learned the release of two young Sahrawis who were detained on Thursday August 30, 2007: Mr. Dadr ELHAWASSI and Mr. BOUSSOULA. These two young Sahrawis were released yesterday Tuesday September 4, 2007 after having spent six days of arbitrary detention under inhuman conditions and without any reason. In the same way, Mr. Abdelghani KABDANI, who had been also detained the same day, was imprisoned at the black prison.
