The Saharawi political detainees, in the Black Prison of El-Ayoune continue their hunger strike, which they began on February 25, 2008, for the eighth day. The state of health of the strikers is beginning to become worrying. While the cases recorded in the preceding days continue their suffering in front of the insouciance of the Prison Administration, which maintained its position of refusing to show any care for strikers, the health of other strikers began to deteriorate.
Thus, Mr. Mohamed BOUTABAA and Mr. Omar AKHNIBILA suffer from vomiting and from hepatitis. Also, Mr. Elhafed TOUBALI, who suffers from acute pain in the intestines, also suffers from vomiting and was transferred today Monday, March 3, 2008, to the hospital, where he is still kept in a critical condition.
