Appeal to support a Sahrawi youth: Brahim CHEIKHI

Moroccan authorities will prosecute the Sahrawi youth Brahim CHEIKHI on charges related to the burning of a car.

All evidences and testimonies prove that Mr. Brahim CHEIKHI has no connection with the incident he is accused of. ASVDH has collected testimonies of Sahrawi citizens from Smara who assert that the Moroccan accusation is false and that the teenager Brahim CHEIKHI was not in the place where the incident occurred.

Additionally, ASVDH also received the testimony of the child’s father who was coerced by Moroccan police to testify against Mr. Brahim CHEIKHI. These testimonies have been included by the lawyers into the case file.

Despite the fact that the innocence of this young man is confirmed, the Moroccan authorities are determined to pursue the young Brahim CHEIKHI on these charges. We therefore ask for you to support this young man during his trial which will be held soon.
