ASVDH has learned that the Moroccan gendarmerie has blocked a delegation of French observers from visiting Brahim Sabbar.
The events took place in Legsabi, near Goulemine in southern Morocco.
The French delegation is composed of Mrs Chantal Duchene, Mrs. Raymonde Mottee, Mrs. Jola Broute, Mr Mehdy Belbbas and Mr Bernard Perrin. They have arrived to observe the trial of Ennama Asfari, scheduled for 16 November 2009.
Brahim Sabbar is ASVDH’s Secretary-General.
ASVDH vehemently denounces the embargo imposed upon meetings between Western Saharan human rights defenders and international observers.
