Black Prison at El-Ayoune:

Yesterday evening, at 21h30, a group of hunger strikers lost consciousness and others suffered from pains in various parts of their bodies as repercussion of the hunger strike that began on 4 September of this month.

As a result, Sahrawi political prisoners Ahmed Mahmoud HADDI (Elkainan), Mohamed Mouloud ELHAJAJ (picture, below), Abdesalam LOUMADI and Abdesalam DAIDA (picture, top) were taken to the private clinic of the prison following serious pains, whereas the state of Ali ZOUGHAM and Mohamed Lahbib ELGASMI required their transfers to Belmehdi hospital where they spent last night without any improvement following their refusal of care.

Today, Saturday, 16 September, Ahmed SBAI and Mouloud ELHAJAJ lost consciousness and, according to recent news, they were also transferred to the same hospital as their comrades, both in a critical state. At the moment when, their comrade, Omar BELYAZID, was taken along to the private clinic of the prison.

The other strikers still resist, in spite of their suffering and their lamentable health, and in spite of the persistence of the penitentiary direction to be unaware of their legitimate claims.

Local prison of Inezgane (Morocco):

Sahrawi political prisoner Said LOUMADI is always at his bed, unable to move and communicates with difficulty with signs. He suffered, today, Saturday, of painful nauseas and vomits a liquid of black colour and unknown nature. His destiny remains worrying in front of the refusal of the penitentiary direction to look after him.

The situation of the remainder of his comrades remains alarming following the degradation of their health.
