Judgements of Sahrawi political prisoners in El-Ayoune

Seven Sahrawi political prisoner, in the Black prison, Mr. Sheik BENALLA, Mr. Ghali ZOUGHAM, Mr. Omar BEN ELYAZID, Mr. Abdessalam DAIDA, Mr. Mohamed Salem BAHAHA and Mr. Mouloud Elhajaj, appeared, today Tuesday May 15, 2007, before the Court of Appeal of El-Ayoune.
The Court of Appeal, reduced the sentences of three political prisoners, Mr. Sheik BENALLA, Mr. Ghali ZOUGHAM, Mr. Omar BEN ELYAZID, who had been condemned in first authority to three years, to two years. In the same way, this same court reduced the sentences of Mr. Mr. Abdessalam DAIDA, and Mr. Mouloud Elhajaj, who had been condemned in first authority tot 3 years, to two years and half. Lastly, the Court of Appeal reduced the sentence of the prisoner Mr. Mohamed Salem BAHAHA, who had been condemned to one year and half, to one year.
The lawsuit of today, thus treated three files:
1 – first file: Mr. Mohamed Mouloud Elhajaj, Mr. Abdessalam DAIDA and Mr. Mohamed Salem BAHAH
2 – second file: Mr. Abdessalam LOUMADI
3 – third file: Mr. Ghali ZOUGHAM, Mr. Sheik BENALLAL and Mr. Omar BENELYAZID.
Two Spanish observers attended the lawsuit of these political prisoners.
We also point out that the secretary general of the ASVDH, Mr. Brahim SABBAR and the member of his council of coordination, Mr. Ahmed SBAI will appear before the Court of Appeal of El-Ayoune, on May 22, 2007.
