The examining magistrate for the court of second degree of El-Ayoune decided Saturday, November 17, 2007, to incarcerate the young Sahrawi, Mr. Bachir Elaabed Elmohdar KHADDA [pictured], in the black prison. Mr. KHADDA, known for his participation in manifestations and aged 21, was arrested Wednesday, November 14, 2007 and kept in custody at the police station until November 17. The family of this political prisoner said that their son was subjected to torture and ill-treatment in police station.
In addition, the Sahrawi political detainees Mr. Abdessalam LOUMADI, Mr. Mohamed BACHIRI and Mr. Hassan DAH have appeared today, Monday, November 19, 2007, before the examining magistrate at the court of second degree of El-Ayoune. They refused to answer the judge’s questions without the presence of their defence what pushed the judge to order their return to the prison.
